“Youngjoo An’s youthful, eagerly villainous Barnaba sounded wonderful, save when pushing towards a ‘Robert Merrill’ resonance he’ll soon command naturally:A Rising Star!”

La Traviata, Cincinnati Opera, 2018
‘Making his local debut as Germont, Youngjoo An was a strong vocal and dramatic presence. The young singer phrased sensitively spinning out long lines unfazed by the high tessitura. He was successful in showing Germont’s change of heart, becoming a more sympathetic figure.’
